HR Products and Services:
Benefit Plan Review
A Benefit Plan Review is essential to controlling the cost of medical and other benefits. Our review is a three-phase program involving: 1) data gathering; 2) cost analysis, legal compliance review and an employee benefit survey; and 3) development and implementation of a cost-effective benefit plan.
Benefit Program Consultation
Employee benefit programs are a critical employee concern and a significant employer expense. The technical nature of these programs, coupled with constantly evolving employee benefits legislation, creates an overwhelming responsibility for employers. We provide legal representation and professional administration of employee benefit programs including: health and welfare plans; fringe benefit plans; and qualified retirement plans.
Employee Opinion Survey
This survey is a professionally developed and validated instrument with a database numbering in the millions. The survey addresses a variety of workplace issues, including confidence in management, fairness of supervisors, advancement opportunities, pay and benefits, and working conditions. A unique feature of the survey is the "alienation index" which can predict, with great accuracy, the vote in a union election. The survey also includes a comprehensive management report which provides both graphic and numerical results, as well as a detailed written analysis of the survey results setting forth conclusions and practical recommendations. This valuable resource of materials includes: a memo addressing legal "do's and don'ts" in the hiring process, a model employment application, a listing of acceptable and unacceptable interview questions and a sample reference forms and releases. The packet is designed to guide employers through the hiring process with the goal of selecting the best candidate for the job while minimizing legal liability.
Employment Relations Audit
This comprehensive audit is designed to evaluate the employment relations "health" of an organization in order to assess union vulnerability, employee morale, and compliance with federal and state employment laws. Through data gathering and on-site interviews, the audit addresses employment policies, procedures, management style and supervisory skills. Audit results are analyzed in a detailed report which sets forth practical recommendations for addressing identified concerns.
Employee Handbook
An employee handbook is an invaluable management tool. A handbook serves as an effective means of communication and showcases the benefits and services a company provides its employees. A handbook will eliminate inconsistency in employee management, which often results in discrimination liability and union vulnerability. Our prototype handbook, designed for legal compliance, can be tailored to meet your company's specific requirements.
Affirmative Action Plan
We can assist companies with federal government contract obligations in developing their affirmative action plans and in meeting all affirmative action requirements required by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance. We have developed a proprietary computer program to assist in expeditiously preparing and implementing affirmative action plans.
Employee Development and Training Programs
Our programs are designed to enhance supervisory skills in interaction management, performance appraisals, hiring, discipline and discharge, as well as legal issues such as the ADA, sexual harassment, substance abuse and various employment discrimination laws. We also offer a training program for management and employees designed to enhance team-building skills.
